Of course this is in a beautiful State park. Remeber that state parks have an access fee now. But the fees will help keep our state parks open.If you purchase a yearly Park pass it can be used at any Tennessee State park.. Alot of caches are hidden in State parks.
This cache is in a small amo can. It was in a PVC tube but it got to leaking so I changed it out. It is approximately .10 or around 500 feet from parking. The trail is a boyscout trail and in pretty good shape. If small children go keep an eye on them as there is a down hill grade on part of the trail. Not as bad as it sounds. Cache is about 80 feet from trail. very little bushwacking just walking in the woods.
Bring a picnic lunch and the family and make a day of picnicing and fishing and swimming and playgrounds in the Park.
Items in initial cache:
- Split shots size 5 and size 7
- fishing pole bell
- 2 floats
- pack riverside rubber worms
- mini camping pocket knife
- floating Rapala minnow
- green silverlake tail spinner
- white silverlake tail spinner
- LOG BOOK pen and pencil
