Geocache Description:

The cache is located in a county park that has some initial hilled trails leading from the parking lot (N42 54.389 W088 32.723)but then flattens into a open prairie type area which is excellent for viewing the nighttime sky. Other trails wind around the park through wooded areas. Be aware of the a pond located on the property. It can get very dark out here! There are no posted hours here but other Jefferson county parks close at 10pm.

This cache has been placed with the hope of drawing night cachers. While the park, very near the Kettle Moraine Forest, is scenic in its own right, it becomes spectacular when visited on a clear night.(Something that seems to come very early in the fall to spring seasons.)
The cache is in a large camo ammo box that is pretty easily found in the daylight but more challenging at night.
The original contents included:
Alien ball
Purple Alien Dude
Stargazer keychain/light
Star puzzle
Toy astronaut trio
Cassette tapes-Fall and Winter Sky and A Guide to Night Sounds
Galaxies CD
Star Finder Wheel
Sm telescope
Golden Book-Sky Observer Guide
Glow-in-the-Dark stars
star candles

We placed this cache on 11/08/03 during the lunar eclipse and checked the cache the next day. Hope you enjoy and take advantage of a nighttime find!
