Geocache Description:

Was originally laid in the highest point in the historic town of Huntingdon,(now a short distnace away) in a place dedicated as an ancient monument, this cache has a level difficulty of 2 because it is in a popular public walking place.

Huntingdon is an old coaching town with strong links to Oliver Cromwell, who was born here. There is a museum in the town centre dedicated to his life and times.

The beacon on Castle Hills was erected in 1988 as part of a national chain of beacons to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the defeat of the Spanish Armada.

The cache is a small white cylindrical box containing only tiny items.
