Hello Cachers. The access road you would normally take to go to this cache is now a private road. So access to this cache has changed.

NOTE that the trail I will describe shows on my (Craw's) phone, but not on Burr's phone. On my phone it is an honest-to-goodness trail. So I don't feel uncomfortable describing how to go to the cache. You will be legal.

NOTE: if you can figure out a reliable way to see the trail using Google Maps, to see this trail on all phones, please post your method in the logs.

The only legal way to get to this cache (that I know of) is from Woodside Glens. Drive to the part of Jane Drive in the Glens, which is right against the big field which fronts 280. Park. Then walk across the field to look down on 280. You are in the right place - so far.

Walk south along the chain link fence, along with southbound traffic. The trail starts out nice enough, but eventually gets pretty steep, - hence the new difficulty rating. Using your GPS, you will walk for a pretty long time, until you will see that you are pretty much opposite the cache, and there is an open chain-link gate on your left, and a little investigation will show that it goes under the freeway. YAY!

NOTE: I am going to try to get the trail image onto my desktop here, and then try to post it in the logs. Wish me luck.

NOTE2: On my phone, I can sometimes get a map image that shows this trail! You can see it go along 280 and then eventually go under 280 (where this cache is, and then back up a little on the other side of 280 for my other cache. I do not know how to view this trail on google maps repeatedly on my android phone. Craw can see this pretty reliably. Burr cannot! If you know how to get this to happen reliably, please post the instructions in your log for other folks.

But never mind. If you stick to the (pretty steep) trail, mostly along the fence, you will eventually find yourself seeing someone's back yard showing through, and then the trail going left, and under the freeway. Congratulations. Read the cache description for some spoilers about where the cache is hidden before you go in the tunnel. And then, since you are already here, you might as head on through and pick up my other (easier) cache just beyond the end of the tunnel.
