Vznik seradovacího nádraží v Malomericích se datuje rokem 1938-39. Pri stavbe 16. kvetna 1941 bylo nalezeno nejvetší moravské keltské pohrebište,
datované do 4. - 3. století pr.n.l. Byly zde zastoupeny ruzné typy hrobu, dokládající znacné sociální rozvrstvení keltské spolecnosti.

Umístení nádraží bylo vybráno s ohledem na vojenské zájmy tak, aby se dalo dobre bránit z okolních svahu. Z dopravního hlediska je tato poloha
nevýhodná, nebot všechny trate se vetví až na jihu Brna. Stavba byla prerušena v roce 1942 a poté dokoncena v letech 1949 - 1953

Severne od malomerické lávky se nachází památka na drívejší éru malomerického nádraží - puvodní podchod pod kolejištem. Na východní strane
se schází do podchodu pres zpustlé schodište kolem potrubí teplovodu. Je to horkovod z malomerické teplárny , která zásobuje Líšen, Vinohrady a
Lesnou. Trubky o prumeru 130 cm se mužete také prohlédnout u cache 2 trubky GCTTVD.

Keš se nenachází v kolejišti a proto udeláte dobre když ji tam nebudete hledat.

The origin of shunting station in Malomerice is dated to years 1938-39. The largest moravian celtic burial-place from 4.-3. century B.C. was found
during the construction of this station on 16th of May 1941. There are different types of graves illustrating social layering of celtic society.

The location of shunting station has been chosen with the aspect of military interests in such way that army could defend station from higher
positions on nearby slopes. This location is disadvantageous from the transportation aspect because all railways ramify on the opposite southern
side of Brno. The construction was suspended in 1942 and then finished between 1949 and 1953.

To the north of Malomerice footbridge is a relic of late era of Malomerice station - former underpass beneath the railway yard. You can go down the
stairs to this underpass on the eastern side by the thermal conduit. It's a hot-water heat pipelines for districts Lisen, Vinohrady and Lesna. You can
see these pipes also at the "2 Trubky" (= "2 pipes") cache (GCTTVD).

Cache is NOT located in the railway yard! So DON'T try to search for it in yard.
