Geocache Description:

The cache can be approached for any direction. The two easiet ways are cross the road and walk down from the Green Mtn Paking Area sign or up from the Rose Canyon Camp Ground. Other ways can be done but are much longer and can be much more difficult terrain.

This is a really great boulding area.(rock climbers use this area almost daily so please do not mess with the rocks under the boulders the cache is not there it is away from the base of any large rock. These boulders have dozens of very difficult climbs on them up to 20 feet high. Leave all the stacked rocks at the base of the climbs alone they are there to keep climbers from landing on them and breaking bones in their feet. The cache is NOT hidden under any of the large rocks. There is a dead down pine tree (log) on the south side of all the rocks it is at least 30' feet long and about 24" in diameter near the North end. If you sit on this log and look toward the two closest boulders, they form a kind of arena from right to left. Using the log as an indicator pointing basically north, the closest and the smaller of the two boulders has 3' high dead burned stump on the west side. Below it to the left is a series of flat rocks in a small gully like depression. The cache is in the middle of those flat rocks that are about 18" to 24" inches in diameter. BE AWARE THAT AS YOU APPROACH THESE ROCKS YOUR GPS WILL RECEIVE BOUNCED SIGNALS AND MAY JUMP AROUND. THIS CAN CHANGE YOUR COORDINATES CONSTANTLY AS MUCH AS 100 FEET IN ANY DIRECTION. So, just use the log like a giant sign and walk 20 feet straight off the end of it to the flat rocks. If you get to a still standing burned pine you have gone to far. Go back. Under the rock in the middle you will find a small tupperware container with a green lid, it constains a legal MP3 CD take it or leave it, lots of great music, many new bands and artists some no one has ever heard on the radio. The sign in log book is a regular note book, a small pencil, small key biner, there will be other trade trinkets that come and go which I have no control over.
