Event is in Greece Canal Park. Event terrain, difficulty are "1", but for other caches in the park see their individual pages.
This event will be in Greece Canal Park and will focus on teaching newbies the sport of geocaching. We will meet at the coordinates listed above (i.e. the main parking lot by the playground) at 2 PM and the event will end at 4 PM. During this time we will work together on the sci-fi themed event caches as well as existing geocaches in the park. You do not need a GPS unit to participate. This event will take place rain or shine. If participants are interested we will head out for dinner afterwards. This event is open to all ages.

Location: Main parking lot, Greece Canal Park
You don’t need to be a newbie or a fan of sci-fi to participate – just need to be interested in geocaching. This will be my first event I’ve hosted here so I hope a lot of you veteran geocachers will be able to come out and lend a hand.

EDIT: 09/16 - The rain should stop before this event begins, but the park will be very muddy - be sure to wear pants, boots or shoes that you don't mind getting dirty.
