Geocache Description:

Located about 12 miles north of Highway 50 near Sargents. Take the White Pine Road. The last mile is rough and may require a high clearance vehicle.

If you are a history buff, you will enjoy this outing. Tomichi (Indian for "Hot Water") was a mining town with a population of 1500 and at one time was larger than its neighbor, White Pine. A snowslide destroyed the town around 1899. Accessible by most vehicles; high clearance may be necessary for last mile. If you want to continue on over Tomichi Pass you will need a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Cache is in an ammo can. This cache may not be accessible during the winter months. Original cache includes: Checkers game, Mickey Mouse toy, football magnet, slinky, baseball player, toy 4 x 4 truck, Where's George Dollar, bottle opener/corkscrew tool, foreign coin, a dolphin silly sack and granite.
