Geocache Description:

Have you ever been to a Dutch Oven Cook Off?
Well now is your chance because on September 29th we'll be doing it again.

If you have a Dutch Oven and you're willing to cook, that's great, but it's not required. All that's required is that you like to cache and that you like to eat good food.

You certainly don't have to be a member of NMG-everyone is welcome.

What we learned the last time we did this is that we have some people with real talent when it comes to Dutch Oven cooking. Now is your chance to showcase your talents and show us what you can do. For those of you who don't cook, you'll get to take part by helping us to judge who is the top chef.

Try to let us know at least a week ahead of time if you're planning to come and if you're bringing a Dutch Oven. We want to make sure we have all of our bases covered and everybody gets lots to eat.

Right now we're planning on meeting at noon and eating whenever the food starts getting ready. We also plan to have several new caches in the area by then to keep everyone busy when you're not eating.

The above coordinates will take you to our back yard, which is a couple of acres, so there is plenty of room. It's a country setting with woods all around and hopefuly there will be a few fall colors by then.

Any updates that need to be made will be added to this page so be sure to check back once in a while.

Ok, time for a little organizing since we are getting close to the event. If you'd email us and let us know if you are cooking and what you plan to make it would help us to determine what we need for side dishes. It would also help to avoid two or three people making the same thing. thanks for your help.

For those of you not cooking, if you'd like to bring a dish to pass it would be welcomed, but it's not mandatory. See you Saturday!
