S5280ft: Well, I was out to replace stage 1, and carried a second in case anther one was missing, but another TWO were missing. That's too many for me to keep replacing. I'm going to call this one done.

Thanks to all who looked for it and had fun at it.

Geocache Description:

This cache is within the Deerfield Township Nature Area.
Parking is at the corner of Green and Cohoctah roads at N 42 45.832 W 083 49.449. Park hours are from dawn to dusk. Thanks to ndimmick for bringing me here the first time to find his family's fine caches in this park.

The story goes that my cookie jar was stolen and the thief dropped my cookies throughout the park with clues to the location of the cookie jar (OK it's really a lock and lock).

The coordinates at the top of this page are for the first cookie. Inside there is a PUZZLE sheet. One side has a hint to the next cookie location, the other side has the very DIFFICULT PUZZLE. If you solve the DIFFICULT PUZZLE, you can fast forward (skip) over the next cookie. That means there are five different ways to get to the fifth and final cache: 1-2-3-4-5, 1-2-3-5, 1-2-4-5, 1-3-4-5, 1-3-5. Let me know how you got there.

None of the hides are particularly difficult, but they are all well off the beaten trail. Total distance for all five stages is about 4.5 miles round trip, with very little backtracking. The final cache is a lock and lock container. Please leave the cookies in their original hiding spot. They just twist to open. Let me know if the puzzles are getting low so that I can replenish them.

You may have noticed that this is a PUZZLE cache, with what I believe are challenging PUZZLES. If you need help, please let me know.

The park DOES allow bowhunting. Given the "off road" nature of the hides, I suggest to NOT DO THIS CACHE DURING BOWHUNTING SEASON. I've seen many, many treestands along the way.
