Welcome to Elkhorn, home of the Walworth County Fair which usually occurs the last week of August/ first week of September. The first fair occurred in 1850 in City Park and moved to the current location in 1855. At one time there were 19 special trains which brought patrons to and from the surrounding communities to the fair.
The fair is a "dry" fair, no alcoholic beverages are served on the grounds, but the food is fantastic. Come enjoy the rides, exhibits, auctions, judging, food, and entertainment. The City of Elkhorn, as the Walworth County Seat, has been the host city for the fair for over 150 yrs.
June 28, 2010 - Due to some difficulty with the original location we have moved the cache to it's updated location.
The cache is a log only micro. Extreme stealth will be required so pay attention to muggle activity. In the summer of 2009, soon after the Fair sign was built (see original coordinates), an "adult" decided to "take" one of the chickens for her grandmothers garden. Once the chicken was reunited with it's barnyard friends, it was placed more securely. You'll need to think creatively on this one.
