XantheTerra: It appears that access to the island has changed and the Island is now a Bird Sanctuary / Reserve

This cache is on a little rocky island, called Agios Georgos, not too far away from Latchi (Polis). There are loads of grasshoppers on this lovely island, where I have spend camping a night or two on, back in 1989. The obvious way to get there is by (renting a) boat, starting from the fishing harbour at Latchi. From the harbour you can see the island, it is about 7, 8 kilometers west, and less then 1 km from the shore. You can also try to get as close as possible by car, climb down the cliffs, and swim to it (it will be quite a swim, use vins - I know, I did it!) on a good day. Once on the island, you don't really need the GPS (it may get wet when jumping of the boat and swimming to the island shore). Just go the highest point of the island, look for a small crater (as if a little explosion has taken place, 1 meter diameter) with some rocks placed around it. On the west side of this crater there is a bush partly growing over it. Under this bush, still in the crater, there are some stones. The cache is under these stones. Inside you will find some shells, logbook and pencil, a pencil sharpener, a toy deer, a holy saint picture, an orange neon marker, a nail clipper, a coin, maybe some other things. Happy caching!
