Troubled Bridge over Water Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

BikerMike: So,do I fight or just throw up my hands? In the interest of all, I'll just archive this. I checked with the McLennan County Appraisal District, and according to them, the old road is still public property. It has not been given back to the nearby owners.

But in the interest of keeping peace with the locals, I'll archive this one. I'm just really hoping the Game Warden stops me when I go retrieve the cache container, I'd be interested in seeing where he is getting his information. I'm guessing more than likely they are tired of kids "partying" in the area of the bridge and are using the "private property" as a reason to keep people out.

Geocache Description:

Near an abandoned bridge on an abandoned road.

Park and grab? Could be. Depends on how much you like your vehicle and your approach. More than likely though, you'll be doing a short walk to the cache location. Me and the Geokid? We drove up to it, trucks are made for working.

I've seen this bridge from the highway a few times, checked it out for a cache location. I figure teenagers probably come here sometimes to party, seems like it would be a good spot. Its harder to get to now, so maybe they've moved onto other places. Its along the southern section of Old Robinson road which used to be the main road in until Highway 77 paralleled it. Thus the old road fell into disrepair and is fading away.

And now, the cache. You are looking for an ammo can. The terrain is a little difficult due to the dirt and low tree branches. You do NOT have to go under the bridge to retrieve the cache, and please hide as good as you find or better. Thanks!
