The Oneida County Memorial Forest was dedicated on September 8, 1948 to our Veterans of World War I and World War II. There are a number of recreational opportunities available here including snowmobiling, ATV riding, hiking, hunting, target practice, fishing and relaxing to the quiet sounds of nature.
The cache is located less than 50 feet from the snowmobile trail and Highway 8. Easy on. Easy off. The area is flat and is mowed during summer months so there is no need to fight tics, thorns or poisonous plants -- although there might be a mosquito or two :o) A nice picnic table is also available where the entire family can enjoy a quick meal while searching for the smiley face.... Good hunting!
Let us hope that there is never a need to dedicate anything to our Veterans of WWIII.........
CONGRATS to cbiij for going above and beyond the call of duty in being the FTF :o)
