Geocache Description:

A letter and postcard swapping spot!

This is a Geo-Post Office! What is a Geo-Post Office you might ask. Well, A geo-post office is a cache set up to exchange post cards or letters between cachers!

How does this work?

Caches are placed to hold postcards. Every postcard will have a small message and an address on it. The address will contain the person’s name that your trying to send the card to, a city and most likely a cache. The objective is to move postcards between Geo-Post Offices until they reach their desired location. When you move a postcard or message from one place to another, please let the person who it’s being sent to know where you moved it to because they might be close enough to pick it up. If you move a postcard from one Geo-Post Office to another please move it closer to the city or cache!

Who should I send these postcards or messages to?

Anybody that you want!

What’s the purpose?

It’s another fun thing that we can do with geocaching! It’s also nice to keep in touch with others!

What do I need to put on a postcard?

Put the name of the cacher, a city and you’ll most likely want to put a cache that they can pick it up from. A little message is usally appreciated too.

How far can I send one?

As far as you want as long as there are Geo-Post Offices along the way there!

How Do I send one?

Go to any Geo-Post Office and place your message or postcard in there. Please if your putting one in try to move a different one along.

How Do I start my own Geo-Post Office?

All you need is a cache container, a log book, a stash note, some zip-lock bags and of course postcards or letters to go in it! Put the post cards or messages in the zip-lock and place the log book in another. Make sure to put in the name of the cache “Geo-Post Office” so that others will know. You may even want to include this note on the cache page to introduce new people.

Example of a message:

Hemwalk aka GCMEYP

Hey,

Thanks for getting me into the sport! It’s been
a blast so far!

Happy Caching and Hope to hear back soon,

---------------------------------------------------------

That message is a tad short and you can feel free to make yours as long as you want withen reason.

-----------------------------------------------------------

The cache it's self is in a large 1.5 gallon bucket. This is as far as I know the first Geo-Post Office.

Park at the end of Armcrest Dr.

This cache is for postcards and messages only. Feel free to place trackable in the cache but there is no loot inside the cache...... only postcards.

Remember that you can easily make your own postcards at home by printing them off and laminating them or you can get fancy and get some from a store.

Now that you know what it is what are you doing wasting your time reading this??? Get going and find this cache!
