All the way to Alderney Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Simply Paul: Sort of glad no one's logged attending this event as I wasn't able to make it myself - I would have loved to but £88 for a day trip just wasn't justifiable; Alderney and its caches will wait for me I'm sure. Next time I'll make sure I can get out to the island, and arrange an event to match this! Time to put this unique(?) non-event to bed. Thank you watchers, and good night [:)]

Geocache Description:

Alderney from the air.

Alderney is the target for this cache event,
the most remote of the publically accessable C.I.s

When: 2pm, Monday June 28th 2010.
What: A picnic event to talk caching and swap travel items in lovely, dramatic, historic surroundings.
Where: At the eastern tip of the island, on the coastal path just south of Fort Quesnard.
Why: Because there are two caches on Alderney and if an event will bring more cachers to the most remote of the Channel Islands to find them, that's reason enough for me. Basically it's one of those 'because it's here' things.
Who: Cachers from far and wide, I hope. Plus their offspring and dogs.
