Geocache Description:

By popular demand we have resurrected
the autumn camping meet for hardy campers.
If you think you're tough enough,
then this is the one for you.

We have found a small but very well kept campsite to the south of The New Forest run by very friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately the costs are not as cheep (although we have negotiated a 10% discount) as we would have liked but certainly in keeping with other sites in the area for what is surprisingly classed as mid-season due to the school holidays.

The event will be at Lytton Lawn Touring Park, Milford on Sea from 31st October to 2nd November, although we shall be there from 28th October, please feel free to come early and keep us company. You will need to make your booking directly with the campsite on 01590 648331 quoting booking No 112103. The cost for the weekend will be £29.70 plus an additional£14.85 for any extra nights and payment will be required in full at time of booking. Your pitch will include tent/caravan/motorhome plus space for one additional item i.e. awning/pup tent/small gazebo, one car. up to six people and electric hook-up (sorry, all pitches with hook-up). If you are bringing a four legged friend with you (max two per pitch) there will be an additional charge of £1.50 per night. If your unit is rather large and over 7meters long please contact me via my profile before booking.

On Friday evening we shall be having a light hearted fancy dress competition with prizes for the best dress child, adult and pitch. We shall be giving out voting forms before hand and some small prizes will be presented before we go off night caching.

Unfortunately the campsite is closed to non-campers, but for those cachers that cannot make the camping, please feel free to come along for a drink and a chat at The Musketeer from 5pm to 6pm on Saturday. Unfortunately they do not serve food in the evening but well behaved children and dogs (on leads) are welcome.

Program

Friday: 6pm* Kids Trick-or-Treat around cachers tents
  7pm* Halloween fancy dress
  8pm* Night cache
Saturday 10am Details of new caches given out

Please do feel free to join us.
9pm* Chilli & baked spuds at the Phillie's

* Times may be subject to slight change

If you are planning on attending this event please post a "will attend" log below, and if you are camping could you please tell us how many adults and children are in your party.

UPDATE - 17 Oct

I have had a call from the campsite and they are no longer willing/able to keep the 20 pitches reserved for us for the event. It was always understood that the reservation would only be for a limited time, so it was not a surprise.

What this does mean is that they will not be able to guarantee you a pitch in the same area, although they will do their best to keep us all together. But the sooner you get booked up the less likely this is to be a problem, so please don't leave your booking until the last minute.
Also you may not be offered the 10% discount that has been negotiated, if this does happen please contact me and I will do my best to sort the discount out for you.
