This is a popular trail overlooking the San Fernando and Simi Valleys.
On most days you will encounter hikers, mountain bikers and an occasional runner trekking along the well-maintained Rocky Peak fire road.
Start at the Rocky Peak Trailhead (exit the 118 FWY at Rocky Peak Rd) or from the Hummingbird Trailhead (N 34° 16.759 W 118° 39.558, exit the 118 FWY at Kuehner Dr.)
The ammo box cache is under a bush at the top of the trail where it intersects a path, about 2.4 miles from the Rocky Peak Trailhead.
