Geocache Description:

Last September, Rabid Bunny and NeoGranger attended an event hosted by members of NEOGeo called a Cache and Dashe. Having a great time, they came back to Columbus thinking that an event like that would be fun for COG. So they met up with Mr. 0 and Bjorn74 and started planning their own Cache and Dashe. The rest, as they say, is history.

	So get your engines runnin’….

		Grab your friends and family….

Fire up the GPS and head into Columbus…

It’s time to Cache and Dashe!!!

The Cache and Dashe will send you and your team around the Westerville, Worthington, Galena and Sunbury areas looking for waypoints and clues to solve one big puzzle.

Arrive at the above coordinates, which should put you at Alum Creek Park North in Westerville, at 12:00pm on May 8th, 2004. Sign in with your team name and members and be ready to go by 12:30pm. We will try to find those without a team a spot in a vehicle before we start. There is additional parking at Astronaut’s Grove which is across the street here: N 40 07.548 W 82 56.461

Teams should be at least 2 people and as many as can fit into one vehicle. Children are welcome, but this event requires extended time in a vehicle, so be prepared. Everyone is invited, so as long as one person on the team has a GPS, you will be good to go.

Instructions will be given at 12:30 along with handouts, so try not to be late! We’ll start the clock once the announcements have been given and off you’ll go! How you approach the puzzle is up to you and your team. You’ll have until 5pm to be back at the park with as many clues solved as possible.

Afterwards, once we receive everyone’s answers, there will be food and socializing while we tally the scores. Prizes will be handed out too! The park also features a playground and basketball court, and is also near a paved biking/walking path. We have the space until 7pm, so feel free to stay and relax.

You’ll want to bring your GPS, pen/pencil, lawn chairs (if you want something other than a picnic table bench to sit on), and a side dish/snack/dessert to share. A small entry fee of $4 will be needed for those over 12 years of age to help cover costs of food.

We’ll provide the pavilion with picnic tables, dinner for everyone (looks like subs at this point), pop and water, picnic supplies (plates, napkins, silverware, etc), and of course the prizes.

Post your RSVP ASAP on the cache page. Let us know how many people will be in your team and what you are bringing to share. See ya there!
