This is part of the SCHS (Story County High Schools) Cache Series dedicated to the seven school districts of Story County.

Welcome to McCallsburg, one of three small communities that make up the Colo-NESCO school district. The HS and one elementary school are located in Colo, the MS is located in Zearing and the other elementary school is just a few blocks south of this cache in McCallsburg.

Colo-NESCO is home to the Royals and their colors are royal blue and silver. This is the smallest school district in the county as far as enrollment goes, but they are the largest geographically. In athletics Colo-NESCO has had great success in both boys' and girls' basketball and have several state championships in their possession.
