A short walk along the river leads to a roughly one half gallon container. Parking can be found just east of the bridge south of the cache, but follow the directions on the Pierce County sign and don't block the gate.
I grew up in the town of Pacific and often walked along both sides of this river, (not to mention swam, paddled, damned and any other way a boy can enjoy a river). The river has changed a bit now that they don't run a dozer down into it every few years to push gravel up into the old Pierce County gravel pit across the river. The bushes and even large trees have grown back. The walk is still a great place for boys or anyone who enjoys a river.
