The Chris Rock Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Krypton: As there's been no response to my previous note, I assume that the cache is not going to be repaired or replaced, so I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

Prominent rock along the Sawyer Camp Trail

The Sawyer Camp Trail is known and loved by all the SF Peninsula. See: (visit link)

for more information on the trail.

This cache is near a rock that my son Chris and I would always visit when we spent a Sunday morning on the trail. Now, 20 years later, I have young twins, and they love to visit and climb "the Chris rock" too. On the occasion of Chris himself returning for a visit, we all went and placed this cache.

Near the paved trail, but rated 1.5 for terrain and difficulty, as you can't drive the last 0.4 mile or so and you really have to dig around to find it now.

Update: 1/6/07. Back in business, I hope. The old cache has been replaced by a smaller one in a baggy, which should be more weatherproof. Slightly harder to find, as it's back in the shadows now. Please keep the cache well-buried and on the shady side of the rock, where there are a lot fewer muggles and no poison oak. Note there are no tools required, you don't have to get through any poison oak to reach the cache, and you don't need to go near any barbed wire. You may think otherwise if you go in from the wrong side of the rock, though.

Stealth a must!
