Auburn Prison Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

donald arrr: As some fellow geocachers already know, a geocacher going by the user name of "oTrainwreck" has taken the travel bug "Oliver Perry", while never logging it out of it was in. I attempted to contact that person through the geocaching messages, a dozen times or more, all with no response. At that point, I attempted to contact sapience trek, through the same geocaching messages, asking for the posibilty of any advice. I recieved no response from him/her. I have since sent a dozen or so messages to "oTrainwreck", with no response. At this point, I reluctantly must archive this cache, as "Oliver Perry" was a very necessary part of this cache, having the coordinates and key on his body. I would like to thank everyone who has either found or looked for this cache. You people are what make caching fun. Those of you who either have watches on this cache, or would have otherwise have found this cache, had "Oliver", not been missing, feel free to log this as a "found". My appologies to those who had issues with this situation. Just a little "post script", judging by a log on one of the caches that "oTrainwreck" had found, he/she may live in the North Syracuse area.

Geocache Description:

This cache is a locked .30 cal ammo can, located on the Auburn-Fleming Trail. Coordinates are bogus. In order to find this cache you must follow the instructions.

Auburn Prison is on lockdown. The only way you can get to Auburn Prison is to capture the escaped train robber Oliver Curtis Perry and bring him in.

He travels under many aliases, including Perry Oliver, Curt Perry, Curt Haswell, and Oliver Haswell.

Bring him in and you will gain entrance to the Prison. I might even give you a personal tour of our fine facility.

Congratulations to GeoBear Adventure Squad FTF!
