Welcome to Diablo Foothills Regional Park. Best place to park is at the Livorna Staging Area located at N37° 52.244 W122° 00.598
There are many caches in this park so do your research! This cache is a Traditional Themed log cache with a TWIST.
The THEME here is Brown. There are various brown items, so take brown and leave Brown.
The TWIST is that i will have placed 24 colors in all.. one only needs to find 10 of them to win a prize from me. Contained within each cache is a unique password. PLEASE DO NOT POST the password! Just email it to me and i'll keep track of your colors for you.
The Cache is located on a ridge overlooking Wellington Lane. From this vantage point you can see a house waving its red,white, and green flag. The trail i took went AROUND the mountain, rather than over it. i went from hill to hill, slowly ascending till i came upon some trees. along the way i saw two landslides, the latter being right near the cow path and very close to the cache itself. During the rainy season the cow trail can become quite muddy and based on the fact that i saw two landslides already, i would caution against going here in the wet season. I strongly suggest bringing a walking stick.
The Cache is in a relatively small plastic tupperware with a purple top (a little bigger than a big fist) Original contents include, 2 AA batteries, pennies, and other brown stuff. Take Brown, Leave Brown.
