NASCAR Nation meets GeoCaching Nation! This simple cache is set on and near the Beechwoods Trail, part of the Big Thicket's Beech Creek Unit.
Allow some time; you'll hike a bit more than a mile roundtrip. Be sure to pick up a map at the trailhead; you'll need a good understanding of the trail and adjacent old dirt roads to avoid excessive bushwhacking.
You'll be looking for a camouflaged ammo box, stuffed full of NASCAR goodies. All trades are welcome, but if you have any NASCAR trinkets please bring them along.
As you'll notice from the contents below, the cache is not contaminated with Rainbow Warrior goods. Unless you're an insufferable "Cheater Boy" fan, please try to keep it that way ;-).
***Note: Parking is located at N 30° 43.161 W 094° 13.628. This is along FM-2992, 1.9 miles north of its junction with FM-1013, or 4.8 miles south of FM-1746.
