A man who inadvertently helped open up the west.
OK, I’ll give you that you are standing at the base of a
statue. Who is this person? Is this person looking west toward the
town that bears his name? What is that in his right hand? Can that
somehow help? Who was the sculptor and in what year was the
sculpture done?
