As far back as the last century, in Lithuania great oak-woods
soughed. In many places they did not stand the centuries challenges
and were cut down. In the territory of the Neris Regional Park,
Dukštos oak-wood, one of the oldest and biggest oak-woods in
Lithuania, survived.
This unique natural object with its all might and beauty
hospitably receives visitors and invites to take a walk along the
cognitive paths, set up in 2003 and the total length of which is
3,7 km. The area of the oak-wood is 302 ha, in the most valuable
part of the oak-wood there is a nature reserve of the area of 36,2
ha established.
