Geocache Description:

It's that time again folks! Time for the biggest geo-event in California!

The 4th Annual
Southern California Geocachers GeoFest!!!

Saturday - September 10, 2005
9am - 7pm

La Mirada Regional Park

As always, everyone is invited to this year's all-day event! New geocachers & old geocachers alike will meet and greet & cache and dash all day long. We've got events planned for all day including:

  • Geocaches Galore!
  • Geocaching & GPS 101 for all you new geocachers out there
  • Geocaching Scavenger Hunt
  • Geocaching Poker Run
  • Frisbee Golf Tournament
  • 2004-2005 Cache Awards
  • Bring Your Own Picnic Lunch
  • Southern California Geocaching Trophy Award Presentation
  • Prizes
  • Potluck Picnic Dinner
  • Bouncer Room for the Kids
  • Kids Arts & Crafts Table

All the details of this event can be found at the Southern California Geocachers webpage. We will need volunteers to run some of the games and events throughout the day. All of that is also being coordinated at SCG. Please only list RSVPs and bug drops here on the Event Cache page and do all messaging and volunteering through the official event site.

Also, we will once again have the collectible shirts available for the event. The shirt and merchandise sales are through our store at CafePress and all the proceeds of sales go towards supporting the Southern California Geocachers website.

We look forward to seeing a great group again this year and we really encourage all new cachers to attend this event and find out the best part of geocaching... The people!
