A simple traditional cache in what was once Mountain Township
Mountain Township was a rural farming township with a rich history. It was comprised of farmland and 4 villages, Mountain, South Mountan, Inkerman and Hallville. Thanks to the Ontario government's massive push for almalgamation of municipalities, it ceased to exist on January 1, 1998, as it became part of North Dundas Township. 4 days later, the area was hit with a massive ice storm. Authorities still claim that was a coincidence...
With a name like Mountain, the relative flatness of the township is often the butt of jokes. The township was not named for any geological feature, but in fact was named after the Right Reverend Jacob Mountain (1750 - 1825), the first Protestant Bishop of Quebec.
This cache is placed in a still active cemetery northwest of Inkerman.
You are looking for a small camouflaged Lock-n-Lock container, that will hold small items and coins.
