Geocache Description:

Between 1900 and 1903, the Texas and New Orleans Railroad built a line spanning the gap between Rockland and Cedar. This new 160-mile section connected two existing lines, thus providing a through route between Beaumont and Dallas. Along this line the new town of Zavalla soon emerged.

This cache will bring you to Zavalla, where you will discover some remnants of the long-abandoned railroad. You'll be looking for a camouflaged Nalgene bottle. Bring your own pen to sign the log. And be sure to enjoy the "Beautification" efforts nearby!
