This event is being held for those who have started or finished the State of Mind series of caches. Join us on Saturday, November 13th from 11:00am-4:00pm on the Hales Corners Public Library grounds. Please park at N 42* 56.407 W 88* 03.625 and "march" to our event's "capitol", the W. Ben Hunt Cabin.
PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THE LIBRARY PARKING LOT.
Schedule of events:
11:00AM - Official kick-off of the event. Packets for the day's events will be available at this time.
11:15AM - For those who want to complete the Washington D.C. multi-cache, the first group will leave at this time. Groups will leave at other times throughout the day. You DO NOT need to have all 50+ SOM caches completed to find the Washington D.C. multi.
11:20AM - Open House until 4:00pm - Activities at the W. Ben Hunt Cabin include:
- Meet Socko, the SOM series creator. Pictures and autographs may be available upon request.
- Event temporary hides (approx. 10) and many local caches within 5 miles.
- A hot dog lunch around the campfire from 11:30am until 1:00pm.
- Guided tours of the cabin provided by the Hales Corners Historical Society
- Pizza served from 3:00pm until 4:00pm
- Place your pre-paid order for your very own State of Mind t-shirt ($15/shipping included), crew sweatshirt ($25/shipping included) and have it in time for Christmas! Cash or checks accepted. Sorry, no plastic!
REMINDER: The SOM series of caches will be retired on November 1, 2004. Please find them and log them before this date. The containers will lie in state at the event.
Please post a note indicating how many will be attending the event, how many for the hot dog lunch, and if you are staying for the pizza dinner. A donation box to cover event expenses will also be available.
