Zumaiako pasealeku eta ondartzak ezagutzeko aukera.
Arroka gogor eta bigunez osatutako geruzak txandakatzen direnean sortzen da 'flysch' delako 'hostopil' naturala. Zumaia eta Deba artean ikus daitekeen fenomeno bitxi hori ikergai erakargarria da geologoentzat, eta adituak ez direnak erabat txunditzen ditu.

Zumaia eta Debako itsaslabar ikusgarriek munduko santutegi geologiko garrantzitsu eta ospetsuenetarikoa osatzen dute. Ia bertikalak diren geruza hauek eratzen dituzten harkaitzak duela milioika urte itsaso azpian pilatutako sedimentuen ondorioz eratu ziren. Geroago, Pirinioak altxatzeak eta itsasoaren higadura etengabeak agerian utzi zituzten gure planetaren iraganeko 50 milioi urte, geruzaz geruza zehaztuta, historiako liburu handi bat bailitzan.
Geruzen artean irakurriz eta bere fosilak aztertuz, Lurraren historiak hobekien gordetako sekretuak argitu ditzakegu, hala nola, ziklo klimatikoak, dinosauroak desagerrarazi zituen meteoritoa edo azken beroketa global handia, mundu berri bat ezagutzeko denboran zehar egindako bidaia liluragarriaren bidez.

Flysch-aren interes geologiko handiaz gain, marearteko zabalgune izugarria, itsaslabarren behealdean, ikuskizun paisajistiko paregabea da.

The alternation of stratums of hard and soft rocks makes up the 'flysch', a natural 'millefeuille' making the coast between Zumaia and Deba an object of study for geologists and a place to admire for the uninitiated.
The amazing cliffs in Zumaia and Deba make up one of the most important geological sanctuaries in the world. The rocks of these almost-vertical layers were created by the under-sea sediment accumulation million of years ago. Later on, the Pyrenees’ growing and the incessant sea erosion discovered 50 million years of our planet’s past, defined layer by layer, as if it was a big book of history.

Reading among stratums and studying the fossils, we can decipher some of the best-kept secrets of the Earth’s history, like climatic cycles, the fall of a meteorite causing the disappearance of dinosaurs, or the last big global warming; a whole new world to discover in an amazing journey through time.

Besides the unquestionable geological interest of the Flysch, the amazing tidal zone, developed at the foot of the cliffs, is a unique landscape spectacle.

Altxorraren eskutulekua aurkitzeko bidea Zumaia erdian hasten da: N 43º 17,871’ W002º 15,318’. Orain dela urte batzu berritu zuten pasealeku hau, lurrean dago idatzita urtea. Lehenengo zenbakia (A) eta azkenengoa (B) beharko dituzu bidea jarraitzeko.

The way to the cache begins in Zumaia. The year of renewing this area is written on the floor. The first digit is A and the last is B.

Zumaiaren historian zehar herria babesteko itsasotik zetozen arriskuei aurre egiteko kanoiak erabili zituzten. Urola ibaia itsasoratzen den tokian antzinako kanoi batzu daude, zenbatu beharko dituzu C jakiteko eta ze pisutako jaurtigaiak botatzen zituzten jakin D ezagutzeko.

During centuries the village of Zumaia was defended from land with canyons. The number of canyons is C and the weight of the bullets that used to shoot is D.

Zumaiak bi ondartza ditu, Santixo eta Itzurun. Bigarrengo honetan ikus daitezke aurrehistoriako hainbat aztarna. Ondartzara eramaten duen bidean badira zaindari batzu eta E deituko diegu. Beraiek eramango zaituzte altxorraren kokalekura.

There two beaches in Zumaia, Santixo and Itzurun. The latter, being the most spectacular. On the way to the beach you will find some guardians. E equals the number of guardians.

toki atsegina, eguraldi onarekin ezinhobea ibilalditxo bat eginez altxorra aurkitzeko.

paperak jada nahiko higatuak daude, beharbada aldatzeko beharra legoke.
