Congrats 1701eh!!!!!
The cache is very close to the trail and NO BUSHWACKING
is required to that point. This is a Winter friendly cache and is
doable at night. Total round trip distance is approximately 3.7
kilometres.
Highly recommended parking is at N43° 45.310, W79° 38.560 (Do
not drive in if gate happens to be open. An exiting school bus
driver or Board of Education employee will be closing and locking
it at any un-scheduled time. Your vehicle could be locked
in)
The above coordinates will take you to an Education Field Centre
building. There you will find a soccer playing field. Go to the
most north-westerly goal-post and with your back leaning against it
MARK an accurate waypoint. Now from that spot PROJECT
a second waypoint exactly 700 metres at a bearing of 305°
MAGNETIC.
Proceed to that spot which is on the road you were walking along
earlier. The cache is located exactly 57 metres at a compass
bearing of 155° magnetic from where you stand on the road. You can
either use your GPSr to project the cache waypoint or use a
magnetic compass and pace it off. Your choice.
The regular size cache contains the usual trade items and log
book. Hidden along with it is a smaller container that holds cards
which display the coordinates and a clue to the BONUS CACHE
(GCNDDA) which is an ammo-box located along a trail not far off
your return route. In addition to the regular booty in the Bonus
Cache is a Canadian GeoCoin key fob as a FTF prize.
Please do not reveal the coords to the Bonus Cache in any log or
posting.
I hope you enjoy hunting “TWO FOR THE PRICE OF ONE”.
