Cache je umistena pobliz delostrelecke tvrze Stachelberg na miste s peknym vyhledem. The cache is placed near the artillery fortress Stachelberg.
Delostrelecka tvrz Stachelberg je soucasti linie ceskoslovenskeho pohranicniho opevneni budovaneho v letech 1935 az 1938 proti chystane agresi hitlerovskeho Nemecka. Stachelberg byl budovan jako nejvetsi a nejmodernejsi delostrelecka tvrz cs. opevneni. Po dokonceni se mel sestavat z dvanacti pevnostnich objektu (bunkru), vybavenych tezkym delostrelectvem, protitankovymi kanony a kulomety. Tyto objekty jsou v hloubce 20 az 50 metru pod povrchem propojeny soustavou chodeb a salu o celkove delce tri a pul kilometru. Za mobilizace v zari 1938 nebyl Stachelberg jeste zdaleka dobudovan. Na povrchu se podarilo vybetonovat pouze jediny pechotni srub, ktery vsak sam o sobe predstavuje jeden z nejvetsich objektu ceskoslovenske pevnostni vystavby.
Dnes muzete v okoli pevnosti nalezt naucnou stezku a uvnitr pevnosti navstivit vojensko-historickou expozici zamerenou na vystavbu cs. opevneni. Uvidite zde vykresy, plany, dobove i soucasne fotografie, modely objektu a ukazky pevnostni vyzbroje. Velmi zajimava je i prohlidka podzemi.
Navstevni doba muzea:
10:00-12:00 a 13:00-17:00 hod
Kveten - sobota, nedele a statni svatky
Cerven - ctvrtek, patek, sobota, nedele
Cervenec, srpen - denne mimo pondeli
Zari - sobota, nedele a statni svatky
Rijen - pouze v sobotu
Posledni prohlidka podzemi zacina v 11:30 a v 16:15 hod. Na prohlidku podzemi je doporucena pevna obuv a teple obleceni (teplota cca 7°C).

[en] The artillery fortress Stachelberg is a part of military fortification that was built in 1935 – 1938. Despite the fact that this bastion had not been completely finished, it has a range of “the best”. It was constructed as the biggest and the most modern artillery fortress from the whole Czechoslovak defences and at the same time it is one of the biggest fortifications of its kind in Europe. The unfinished borderline fortress was originally supposed to consist of twelve fort objects (bunkers), in the depth of 20-50 metres linked with passages and chambers in total length of 3,5km . Just before the mobilization, they managed, apart from the small bunkers, to finish only one big fortress on the surface.
If you visit the complex, you will be able to peep into underground secrets and familiarize with the Czechoslovak fortress museum.
