Geocache Description:

On a corner in Berkeley there is a whimsical house where a collection of beautiful blue glass bottles is displayed in the windows. One day when I was walking by there with my friend David, we got to meet the friendly white-haired woman who lives there. She took a break from her gardening to tell us about the house's history.

It is over a century old. The house next door used to be its barn, and its gardens were once the daffodil-filled setting for the parties that the owners would throw for the young ladies and men of Berkeley. As for the glass bottles, she acquired her first one on vacation somewhere, and then collected a few more. Then the neighborhood decided that this was to be a Phenomenon; strangers come by now and leave cobalt blue bottles with notes for her on her doorstep.

The cache is a round tupperware container, with a white lid, about 6 inches in diameter.

There is no need to walk onto the lady's private property as you search for the cache; likewise, there is no need to rustle through any of the plants that surround the house. There is also no need to go out into the street. That should narrow the search area down a bit, eh?

Please use discretion when you retrieve the cache, as this street is a well-loved one for bicycling and strolls.
