Geocache Description:

A moderate walk in a magnificent gorge, strenuous in places depending upon the route you take .

THIS CACHE HAS BEEN MODIFIED JULY 2008.

The above Co-ords are for the first box.

Leave the car park at N54 58.241 – W002 19.012 and head towards the jungle. After you have crossed the rope bridge, the next part of your trial is to get to the other side of the swamp and find the Treasure Chest - you CAN do it without getting your feet wet ! You are looking for a container with small swaps but more importantly the co-ordinates for the next stage of the trial which are located in the back of the log-book.

The next part of the route to the final cache will take you down to the gushing river in the very depths of the gorge – we didn’t see any crocodiles when we placed the cache but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t there !! There is one more bridge to cross as you head towards the edge of the jungle seeking the final cache - tread carefully here and keep your eyes and ears open for there have been sightings of Puma and Lion Cubs in this area.

GOOD LUCK WITH THE TRIAL AND ENJOY!!

PLEASE TAKE CARE, SOME OF THE PATHS ARE UNFENCED OVER STEEP DROPS AND SOME OF THE STONE STEPS ALONG THE WAY ARE STEEP AND SLIPPERY WHEN WET.
