Neco z historie..

Short English version
The village of Kralice lies at the foot of Bohemian-Moravian Highlands at the lower part of the Oslava river. During the period of 1578 - 1622, this small village used to house a stronghold (near the church) hiding a secret printing office belonging to the Czech Brethren. Secret brotherly printer was carried from Ivancice to safe fort in Kralice in 1578. The printer was foundation by bishop Jan Blahoslav in 1562. Brotherly printer office printed first part of Czech translation of the Old testament at Kralice fort already in following year (1579). The printer and bibliopegy was at Kralice fort for 42 years. The peaces, which ensued in Kralice, are comparable to the best pieces German or Dutch printers. Six-piece Bible Czech (later named "Kralická") is considered as top of Kralice print.
