551 Traditional Geocache

This cache is kid friendly located at the site of the former Haverstraw Village Police Department. The cache has a mystery to it that a true detective will easily figure out and earn their "gold shield." Leave some prints on the smoking gun but beware of muggles especially firemen who still occupy part of the building where the Village station used to be or cops who sometimes stop in to use the restroom.
551 were the radio call numbers for the Village of Haverstraw Police prior to their disbandment on January 1, 2006. The Town of Hvaerstraw Police now police the village but several officers from the former "551" still work in the area for the Town Police. This cache is dedicated to the fine men and women of the former Village Police station and the great detectives that made numerous arrests and solved countless crimes.
