dani_carriere: Well, this cache has had a good run with lots of visitors. I thought it would be a good time to retire them. Thanks to everyone who took the time to visit both final cache locations.

Geocache Description:

*** The caches are NOT at the "posted" co-ordinates. You must solve this puzzle to find out where to go. ***

A First to Find Hunter's Nightmare...

Two identical caches, equally hidden, both in imminent danger of being found before you can get there. There is only time to be the FTF for one. How do you determine which receives your attention first?

Two sets of co-ordinates, equally confusing, both needing to be calculated before you can leave. While you're trying to figure it out, someone else is on their way to the cache. Who is it going to be?

Two available FTF certificates. Can you get both of them? Which way do you go first, East or West?

Both caches are hidden off of Harvard Ave in a park ... but they're 12km apart. The "posted" co-ordinates are exactly halfway between the two caches. The Eastern Cache is in the Western part of the park. The Western Cache is at the Eastern end of the street.

Western Cache N 4 9   5   .         W 0 9       9 .
Eastern Cache N 4 9   5   .         W 0 9       9 .
  • Western A + Western B + Western C + Western D = 14
  • Western C = Western B + Western D
  • Western B = Western D

  • Western D = Western C / Western A
  • Western A < Western C
  • Western C = Eastern E

  • Eastern E + Eastern F + Eastern G + Eastern H + Eastern I = 34
  • Eastern G + Eastern H = Eastern E * 3
  • Eastern F = Eastern I

  • Western F = Eastern G - Eastern H
  • Eastern A = Eastern H - Eastern E
  • Eastern D + Western E + Western G + Western I = 28

  • Eastern D = Western I
  • Western E = Western G
  • Western I = Western E

  • Eastern B = Eastern G
  • Eastern C = Eastern B - Eastern D
  • Western A = Western H

The caches are small, well-camoflaged containers. Not big enough for travel bugs. Small trade items only please!

If you find both the Eastern and Western caches, you may log twice to get the double find count. After all, this cache is about "doubles"!

Each cache has identical tradable items:

  • FTF Certificate
  • 25 cent Canadian Tire Money
  • 10 cent Canadian Tire Money
  • small carbiner keychain
  • rubber stamp
  • tiny rubber ball
  • small rubber ball
  • water game
  • log book and 2 pencils
