Geocache Description:

Magnetic Keyholder - Yellow/Blue Trail

“Burr Oak - Hiking Trail Series – 52 Pickup”
This 52 cache series was created to promote the hiking trails at the park. It is very similar to the series that I did back in 2006 (but hopefully these containers prove to be squirrel proof). The 52 caches are hidden along over 30 miles of trails on over 2,593 acres of park land. The majority of them are camo bison tubes hanging in the trees, but you will find some magnetic keyholders, some small containers, a few rocks, & a few ammo cans. Many are micros in the woods, they were not created to be easy but I tried to give some clues to help you find them.
Each cache contains a log. Take a pen with you to sign the log and please take additional logs with you to replace any wet logs. (Note: You also may want to bring a pair of tweezers to retrieve the logs. The easiest way to get the log back inside the bison tubes is to roll it up and insert it into the lid first.)
There is no need to do them in order. Actually the order that they are numbered will probably be confusing, but that is all part of the hunt. I hope that you enjoy hunting them as much as I enjoyed hiding them!
All Caches are located on Park Property near the Hiking Trails. Please remain on the trail until you get close to the cache site. I would suggest getting a map of the park before you start. Some of the caches are very near parking areas and some are more than 1 hour away from parking.
You will have to determine which area to park for each cache, but I would not suggest parking in any area other than those listed below! Allow enough time to make it back to your vehicle before dark, as the park closes at dark.
Here is a list of the public parking areas that are available:
