Laneways of Geelong - by night! Multi-cache

This cache has been archived.

Bunjil: As there has been no response to the last request/s to attend to this cache, I have no option but to archive this listing on the basis it has been abandoned.

If there are components or remnants of the cache and you haven't already done so, please return to the GZ and collect the cache (or remnants). We don't want to litter our environment with Geotrash.

If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the next 28 days, just contact a reviewer (by email and include **GC Number and Cache Name**) and, assuming it still meets the current guidelines, the reviewer will unarchive it. Should you wish to replace the cache after 28 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

Geocache Description:

Don’t be put off by the difficulty rating, as this has been increased simply due to high Muggle activity!

Welcome to the heart of Geelong! Like all great cities, Geelong has some interesting, historical, entertaining, and somewhat squalid laneways running through its heart - and on this cache you will walk through a number of them. This is a night cache, and even though the area is reasonably well lit with streetlights you will need a strong torch. The cache may be completed during the day by those with a very keen eye, but it is specifically designed for those nocturnal cachers out there.

At the co-ordinates listed above, you will be in a large carpark. If you arrived by car, leave your vehicle here, and standing at this location look for a reflective arrow. Proceed in the general direction of this arrow, looking about to find the next, then next arrow. At the beginning the arrows are placed within 40m of each other, but as you progress the distances between arrows may increase substantially.

There are approximately 11 arrows in total that will ultimately lead you to a reflective diamond. At this point, WP1, you will have to search the general locale for the co-ordinates for GZ and the cache.

At GZ you will be looking for a small container with a log book only. Once logged, please return the cache to its correct hiding place. Caching tools are not required - just a keen caching eye. Due to the nature of the area it is strongly recommended that gloves be worn whilst searching for WP2's clues and whilst searching for the cache. Due to high Muggle activity day and night I would also recommend a lot of stealth and a reasonable amount of general awareness of personal safety at all times.
