Geocache Description:

A cache and dash on the road to Kinbuck just North of Dunblane, close to the A9.

This cache could be incorporated into the series of caches which can be done on a circular walk from Dunblane to Kinbuck along the upper Allan Water. It is possible to mountain bike all of this route.

For years I have been fascinated by this distinct small hill next to the A9, just North of Dunblane.

About 10 years ago more silver birch trees were planted on it. We had great difficulty finding out anything about the history of the hill. Although the OS Map names it as Lady’s Mount we couldn't find out where the name came from. There are various local folk tales about it's origins but it appears that this is a natural mound.

You cannot park next to the cache but parking is available nearby close to the junction with the A9. The cache is only a few minutes walk from the parking spot.
