It’s that time of year again! Time to dust off those GPS units or get them out for the first time this season. Yes, it is the Second Annual Winter Trails Day Event Cache.
Just like last year Guper Seekie and I will be out in force with REI, BLM, the US Forest Service, Parks and Recreation, and the Alaska Skijoring Association for another great day of activities. The Event this year will be on Saturday February 12th.
Also like last year we will be running some classes (at the big fire ring with the hot chocolate and marshmallows) for those that want to learn how to use their GPS a little better and we’ll have Geocache/nature trail challenge. For those veterans that want a little more challenge and would like to log a new permanent geocache, come out and log it early before everyone else gets a shot at it. After you finish the caches there are a variety of lectures and other activities to fill you afternoon with fun and education! Here is a list of the other events:
