Team Marzipan celebrated their 100th placed cache by hiding The Mother Cache (GC15RYZ). The object of The Mother Cache is for finders to take one of the ready-prepared caches and hide it as a Daughter Cache. This cache is one such daughter that has wandered into Cheshire.
The cache is not at the listed co-ordinates. You need to solve the puzzle to find the real location.
All you need to do is visit the eight locations, have a look around, find the missing numbers, replace them in the unnecessarily complicated formula below and find the cache. Simple.
Clue A

Not very appropriate for articulated lorries but what is the number above?
A = Number
Clue B

It’s a pain in the neck missing the last post around here. How many letters in the name of the street you need to visit?
B = Number of letters in the street name
Clue C
![](http://img.geocaching.com/cache/0cd309bb-9d9e-455c-a03c-3bff1c6eac10.jpg)
Fancy a bit of windsurfing? How far is it there and back?
18/3/11 - The sign with the answer has gone from this junction but if you follow the road in the direction of Helsby you can see exactly the same sign there
C = Number of miles
Clue D
![](http://img.geocaching.com/cache/1cf570fa-bbfb-44e4-857f-958b1f222e93.jpg)
Bit of a height restriction half a mile from here. How many feet?
28/8/13 - I understand that this sign has disappeared but I will do another photo when it has been replaced. In the meantime you should be able to find the answer on Streetview as long as you have done the requisite map work.
D = Number of feet
Clue E
![](http://img.geocaching.com/cache/efd80108-1e67-4a81-9ee8-824289c90939.jpg)
How many yards for a drink?
E = Number of yards
Clue F

That’s all very well but how many miles to the place NOT mentioned on this sign? (It’s on the other one though)
F= Number of miles
Clue G
![](http://img.geocaching.com/cache/87c11a16-6b1e-4d79-97f6-518b153af65e.jpg)
Team Marzipan drive a 2.5 ton van. How many tons of dog biscuits could they fit in the back before reaching the weight limit opposite?
G = Number of tons
Clue H
![](http://img.geocaching.com/cache/d08de875-debf-4095-ada6-d6e3bb9987a9.jpg)
For how many yards do the adult and small child need to be careful?
H = Number of yards
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The cache itself is hidden at:
N53 P.Q W002 Y.Z
P = B+(C*F)
Q = E-B-C-D-G+(C*D*G)
Y = A+D+G
Z = H+B-(F*G*A)
(note that P and Y are 2 digit numbers while Q and Z are 3 digit numbers)
Finally please do not spoil the puzzle by giving away any of the locations in your logs or giving the solution to other people.
