Geocache Description:

A simple little study in hydrodynamics and geocaching veracity.

It is a little known fact that in 1593, French explorer Pierre DeLa Perrier passed through the Victor Valley in his vain attempt to locate an all water passage from the Hudson Bay in Canada to the Sea of Cortez. Pleased to locate any water at all, he was met by a remnant of the Seminole tribe living in the local area. This little known tribe was called the KOA-Mojave Proxima Agua tribe. Historians have sadly ignored their contribution to the culture of the area.

Pierre quickly discovered this tribe wore only two items of clothing. About half the tribe wore a feather from a red tailed hawk. The other half wore a single feather from a blue jay. Pierre also discovered that those who wore the blue feather always told the truth no matter what he asked them. Unfortunately, people who tell the truth all of the time can be quite annoying. Pierre preferred the company of those who wore the red feather, and nothing more. No matter what Pierre asked a red feather, he always got a pleasing answer. Pierre was greatly encouraged by the news that his all water passage across the vast terrain of North America was nearby. He was told all he had to do was follow the setting sun to find it. Pierre set out the next morning to set his name in the history books forever.

Your job will be to locate the exact spot where Pierre met up with the tribal leaders, both red and blue. You may wish to bring some water, about a gallon or more. Tribal custom calls for you to provide water to both a red feather and a blue feather. And to get you started, Howie and I left the cache container in the blue tube. You may trust us. Please post which tribe you left the logbook in so the next cacher may rely on your information. The results should prove interesting.

Additional note: Had to do extensive repairs to the cache from damage that looks like it was done by cachers who downloaded coords but failed to read the description. The cache was broken by pounding rocks on it. Bummers!

If scoring one more cache means that much to any of you, just count the cache and don't bother to visit it, please. Personally, I prefer the folks who just enjoy the experience.

No charge for the occasional dead mouse.
