We are approaching the holiday season and it is time for one of my favorite events:
Secret Santa - Geocaching Style!
Below are some very important instructions, so please read carefully:
Gift Exchange…
The last day to sign up to be eligible to participate on the Secret Santa gift exchange is December 8th, 2015. Secret Santa sign up will end officially on December 9th, midnight.
Requirements for logging “will attend” for Secret Santa…
1) If you are a team, add number of adults/children (age of children/gender).
2) ADD YOUR SIDE OF TOWN – North, South, East, or West
NOTE: If you do NOT wish to participate on the gift exchange, but still want to attend, you are welcome to. Please contact me personally, because I may ask you to be my Elf :)
Drawing names…
I will draw names and let you know who you got – Expect a contact email from me no later than December 10th.
Now the REALLY fun part!
The game period…
There will be 4 different pre-defined locations for dropping your Secret Santa gifts -- all in the Indianapolis area. The locations will be on each side of town. I am currently working on setting these up. The reason for being pre-defined is that the locations have to be easily accessible so children can also participate. The coordinates for these caches will be given to you by email when the time comes.
The game will be played during the period from 12/10/15 to 12/18/15. During this period, place a little gift or two for your person in one of the pre-defined locations. There is no limit of little gifts you can give, and little gifts can also be simple things...like a Christmas card, etc. Be sneaky…let your giftee wonder who you are! :)
***VERY IMPORTANT!*** Contact me when you place a gift so I can post an announcement on the event page to let your person know that he/she should visit their predetermined gift exchange box.
The Final Exchange…
The final exchange will be held on Saturday, December 19th, 2015 Time = 10am - 12pm at the University of Indianapolis - Trustees Dining Room in Schwitzer student center (Thank you, my friend archeoarchaic1939 for arranging this for us).
Pitch in…
Please bring food/drinks to share in the final exchange event day - let's do brunch this time!!!
Guideline…
Your total spending guideline for each person should be $20.00. This should include the little gifts and the final gift exchange.
