I've recently adopted this cache from Honest John and Suzie's
Jule, who recently left the area. I actually found it when it was
inactive because I loaded the waypoint over a year ago. This was
one of my favorite finds in Miami and I was happy to adopt it and
bring it back to life.
Canal runs west to east, and there is shade on this side if the
canal to picnic and fish.
The trail is along side of a major deep canal, and the cache is
about a half a mile walk from where you park.
The drive out here will give you a feeling of being lost,
because the hussle of the city is so close behind as you drive thru
miles of agriculture, and the edge of the Everglades.
This area is where the center of Hurricane Andrew passed thru in
1992. The area has grown back and is in great shape.
We have seen Muggle’s fishing nearby in a aqua green-blue, clear
water. I can not tell you the of type fish that are available, but
I imagine this might be brackish water with the ocean so close.
