Geocache Description:

Oregon coast near Cannon Beach. Can only reach at low tide.

Update: Cache replaced on Sunday, August 21st, 2011. Cache washed out to sea over heavy winter. It is very easy to reach due to the high level of sand that has filled in the normally rocking coast line. This cache is very close to the southern group of rocks at Arch Cape Beach. You can get to the beach on various beach access roads along Arch Cape Beach. The closest access road is the very last road on your right off of Hiway 101 before you go into the tunnel to the north of Oswald beach. Once you get on to the beach you must cross a small stream and travel around the group of rocks at the south end of the beach. The only way to access is at low tide. You can get to the cache when the tide is 3/4 out or in but you'll have to scramble over some slick rocks. Water proof shoes are good to have. Check the local tide tables before attempting. If it's a negative tide you can avoid the rocks and walk on wet sand. If you have to go over the rocks please be careful as there is an abundance of sea life on and around the rocks. Good idea to bring some lightweight gloves to protect hands from sharp barnacles. I forgot to put the coordinates in or on the cache so if someone could do that for me I'd really appreciate it. Enjoy!
