The original marker erected in 1912 was a simple cement pad, but
has since been redone in granite and brass.
The only location in the United States where four states, Arizona,
Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah, meet in a single spot. Standing on
the brass cap allows an individual to stand in four states at one
time. The monument is located entirely on Navajo Nation land,
please respect their land and customs
Indian Reservation.
Their stance on Geocaching is basically our lands are sovereign and
if you put a cache on them we will confiscate your GPS, Car, and
charge you with trespassing. They made it pretty clear that they do
not and will not allow cache placements on their lands!!! The
reservation is a sovereign nation AND private property. Permits are
required to enter the reservation. Remenber that the land around
this Monument is reveration.
Remenber it is FEDERAL CRIME
to remove anything from reservation land this includes indian
pictograph, pottery pieces, stone, arrow heads, or anything
else!!!!
The Visitor Center is open year round, and features a Demonstration
Center with Navajo artisans. Navajo vendors sell handmade jewelry,
carts and traditional Navajo foods nearby.
Picnic table and potable, self-contained restrooms are available.
No water is available in the park.
To recieve credit for this cache you need to take a picture of
yourself with your GPS at the brass cap.

November 17 by AirborneSurveyor (241 found) Found this on a +3k road trip after I got back from Afghanistan on the 4th of November. So far hit 3 caches in CO (Pikes Peak), 3 caches in UT, 3 caches in NV (Las Vegas), this marks 7 in AZ (here, Grand Canyon, Petrified Forest). Hit 2 today in NM. This will mark off 5 states that I have not cache in on my way back home to Louisiana. Everyone knows the most direct route to LA from Fort Riley, KS is CO, UT, NV, AZ, NM, OK, and TX... right?TFTC [This entry was edited by AirborneSurveyor on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 4:01:22 AM.]

| November 6 by Buzz Lightyear I (4670 found) Not only did we visit the four corners of the area, this was also our Fourth Corner to find of Colorado. It was quiet there this time of the year. TFTVC[This entry was edited by Buzz Lightyear I on Sunday, November 08, 2009 at 3:10:52 PM.]
