VHSFootball Traditional Geocache

This is a small cache located near Panther Park baseball field in Cedar Grove, New Jersey. Parking is available in the parking lot on West Bradford Ave. Watch out for muggles during games. Feel free to bring pets. It's a quick grab-n-go.

I'm hiding this geocache as a project for my eighth grade science class. Our goal is to teach our fellow geocachers about ecological topics. In this cache, we wanted to inform you about global warming and its dangers. In the 1800's when the industrial revolution began humans started burning more and more fossil fuels like coal and oil. When fossil fuels are burnt they release chemicals into the atmosphere that destroy one of the most important thing to life on Earth, the ozone gases. The ozone makes the Earth like a natural green house, letting in the suns energy and trapping it. The ozone lets sum energy in and reflects the rest back into space. With out the ozone we would burn during the day and freeze during the night. Ever since the 1800's Earth has getting warmer. This extra heat has cause many problems, for example the polar ice sheets are melting witch means that coastal arias will flood and the animals living their will no longer have a home. Also the heat causes weird weather like in the summer of 2013 the south west part of the US experienced temperatures of over 95 degrees for a week straight.
